Telecom Lead Jobs

A telecom leader is generally responsible for overseeing the telecommunications aspect of a division or a unit. A telecom leader ensures that all telecom equipments are correctly installed and maintained as required, that the departmental resources are optimally utilized and data technicians, service technicians and network engineers are assigned their respective responsibilities. A telecom leader keeps abreast of technological advancements and suggest up-gradations to the management, oversees recruitment and training of maintenance technicians, telecom engineers, wireless service technicians, telecommunications engineers, and similar positions. A telecom leader under general direction is responsible for the review, design and analysis of the organizations switched telecommunications needs and configurations requirements, trouble desk management and the maintenance of the order processing system. A telecom leader ensures that the switched telecommunica¬tions needs of all the organizations users are fulfilled and included in future policies and telecommuni¬cations planning and development. A telecom leader acts as a single point of contact for the management in order to resolve technical or disciplinary issues effectively and efficiently.

A telecom leader should have a bachelor\'s degree in science, electronics and/or telecommunications. Experience in a telecom, broadband, Internet, IT networking, or IT maintenance environment is a plus. A telecom leader should have a ability to interface with staff and administration, to analyze switched telecommunications requisitions to ascertain proper departmental telecommuni¬cations requirements, to read and interpret telecommunications vendor billing, statements, equipment lists and installation analysis. A telecom leader should have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
