Saab to Lay Off 700 Employees

General Motors’ Saab Automobile unit will lay off 701 employees.

Saab reached an agreement with labor unions, and decreased the job cut total from 750.

The 646 blue-collar and 55 white-collar employees will work their last day Friday.

General Motors purchased half of Trollhättan, Sweden’s Saab Automobile AB in 1989.
