Job Description:

As part of Shell IT’s Enterprise Technology Services and Operations organisation whose mission is to provide secure and reliable enterprise-wide IT services for Shell globally, your role as IT Operations Manager will focus on delivery of voice connectivity services which includes fixed voice, IPT, E911, mobility, call centre and collaboration voice services like Skype for Business and MSTeams.

You will play a critical role in ensuring Enterprise Technology Services and Operations Management (ETSOM) meets operational performance expectations by:


Be responsible for telephony, VOIP solutions and collaborating services, assisting with any issues from Shell internal users
Pro-actively monitoring the voice platforms, discovering, and remediating or reporting any issues before they impact users
Providing enterprise operations support by working with the Voice Operations Center
Act as the point of escalation for operational issue, providing guidance and assistance support tickets
Management of risks and vulnerability issues directly with Shell businesses to remediate
Own and maintain key documentation on the voice infrastructure services
Management of IT controls
Manage 3rd party suppliers
Ensuring relevant ITIL processes are effective across internal and external organizational boundaries
Manage E911 compliance


What we need from you?

We’re keen to hear from IT professionals who have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent work experience. Beyond that, we’d hope to see as many of the following as possible on your CV:


Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
10 year plus experience in telecoms operations in support environment of large enterprises
Cisco CCNA certified (CCNA Voice is a plus)
Experience working with external suppliers /Vendors
Knowledge of IP telephony, Cisco CUCM and Avaya Communication Manager
Knowledge of traditional fixed voice (PABX) technologies
Knowledge of Skype and Teams Enterprise Voice
Knowledge of E911
Understanding of mobile connectivity
Understanding of ISDN and SIP trunking
Knowledge in ITIL processes, incident, problem and change management
Ability to handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
Good communication, presentation, vendor management and stakeholder management skills
