RF Wireless Engineer

Use your wireless/RF engineering skills and experience to analyze and develop wireless telecommunications capabilities within Honeywell Embedded Software team. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will bring value to Honeywell's wireless products and services by enhancing telecommunication networks, systems and equipment. You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.\u00a0The engineering team is pursuing an embedded software engineer in the customer facing engineering organization. As a member of the team you will be responsible for customer support upgrading and improving firmware in embedded Android, Linux, RTOS and Windows based platforms.
Design and development of device firmware using C/C programming languagesBroaden and expand your knowledge by learning from highly experienced engineers and (engaging) in challenging assignmentsKeeps informed on the latest state-of-the art radio enabled devices and wireless technical developments and comply with Honeywell policies, procedures, and HS&E requirements as applicable.
Design and development of device firmware
Create test plans, performance standards, and develop test environments
Resolve field issues, wireless driver development
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Experience with wired and wireless technologies including WWAN, Ethernet, 802.11, GPS and Bluetooth\u00a0
Extensive experience with Android/Linux/RTOS based software platforms
Experience with debug methodologies to isolate low level system issues
Excellent C/C programming skills (Java, C# a plus)
Ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems
Knowledge of wireless encryption technologies
Understanding of wireless project requirements
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
Can quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
Wide degree of creativity and latitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
