Description This position provides strategic oversight of multiple large & complex projects\/programs to meet the cox business goals and objectives associated with significant business initiatives. Collaborates closely with stakeholders, internal customers, external vendors, cross-functional and cross-divisional teams to deliver on-time and within budget completion. Facilitates cross-functional and cross-divisional teams to execute on defined deliverables, mitigate risk, manage dependencies and drives key decisions impacting the success of the program. This position will maintain a view of market level impact to ensure that the ongoing project, capability and process introductions do not hinder business performance. Communicates regular status to CB executive team. The Sr. Director will report to the VP of Cox Business Enablement and function as a strategic subject matter expert in business transformation and large initiative delivery. Leads a dedicated team of analysts and project managers, responsible for optimizing business performance and standardizing operations across Cox markets through alignment of people, process and platforms. This position provides the thought leadership to inform the cox business capability roadmap as well as the business acumen to effectively support the incremental needs of our current state operations. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions Ensures successful coordination and delivery of key CB initiatives within scope, schedule and budget constraints. Influences and partners closely with the top executives to implement major business initiatives across the company Develops and maintains strong partnerships with boundary partners to ensure coordinated implementation and deployments Interacts with customers and employees to understand the true needs and requirements for a future state Interacts with technology to ensure the successful implementation of business intent. Interacts with CB markets to ensure a successful business adoption of the implementation. Collaborate across departments and boundaries to develop transformational roadmaps and deliver upon project objectives Challenges senior leadership and subject matter experts to \u201clean out\u201d processes to reduce costs, simplify processes and improve the customer journey Defines operational and strategic approaches to ensure business success by managing, sustaining and continuously improving business processes Collects and evaluates operational, service, and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement \u2013 including best practice research and presentation Analyzes new business requirements, determines current performance, forecasts future performance and builds and manages detailed project plans to implement improvements and\/or corrective actions Translates vision and high-level business concepts into viable solutions for field deployment Evaluates new business requirements, identifies current performance and forecasts future state, isolates and plans for most effective approach Analyzes execution cost, develops operational budget and influences for approval Analyzes new business requirements and identifies and recommends the most effective approach and resolution to issues. Partners in the development of training and adoption materials to support initiatives Drives execution of new processes and capabilities. Recruit, hire, retain and manage a team of professionals as necessary, including establishing team and employee goals, providing formal and informal feedback, and coaching team members towards high performance Accountable for delivering scope, schedule and budget for owned organization and initiatives. Develops and presents status \/ results to executive level management Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 10 or more years of experience required in related field 5 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree Recognized industry leader in establishing standards and recommendations in best practice concepts and methodologies Possesses a track record of willingness and ability to work collaboratively and effectively across departments and boundaries (i.e. Product, Strategy, Operations, Care and Field Services) to develop transformational roadmaps and deliver on project objectives Proven ability to lead and inspire, excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills Strong ability to directly and indirectly influence at executive levels Strong technical, process and industry knowledge Demonstrated strategic leadership developing vision for core process\/system platforms Experience working from vision and high level business concepts to creating concrete field deployed processes Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred PMP or other PM certificate BS\/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired MBA or advanced degree in related discipline strongly preferred 10 or more years of experience in a management role preferred 7 or more years of experience within Commercial Business supporting service and operational level agreements, strongly desired 5 or more years of experience running incident, problem and or critical event management for large scale firms preferred Experience in telecommunications industry About Cox Communications Cox Communications is a broadband communications and entertainment company, providing advanced digital video, Internet, telephone and home security and automation services over its own nationwide IP network.
