FTI (FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure) District Service Manager (DSM) is the point of contact for all FTI Operational Services and Provisioning matters for their particular geographic area of responsibility. They meet regularly with the FAA at a local and regional management level to coordinate Harris\u2019s effort with teammates. They represent Harris to the FAA and the FAA to Harris. They review procedures, identify problems and resolutions.\u00a0 The DSM shall be located in the corresponding FAA Geographical area of responsibility in the Northwest Mountain Region. Job Duties: Travel and meet with the Government and review operations and deployment and service results.
Provide management and direction to the field teams and advise management team.
Proactively\u00a0review service performance and procedures with the Government on a\u00a0quarterly basis.
Coordinate\u00a0and oversee all field activities associated with the operations and as\u00a0necessary deployment to ensure successful National Airspace sustainment.
Coordinate\u00a0Contractor efforts both internally and with other companies and organizations. The DSM shall be the\u00a0single-point-of-contact for FTI service matters for their particular\u00a0geographic area of responsibility.
Coordinate\u00a0efforts by the Government and the Contractor to isolate and repair chronic\u00a0troubles.
Identify\u00a0problem areas and resolutions.
Visit\u00a0Government facilities and be responsive to any deployment and\/or operational\u00a0service problems.
Investigate\u00a0formal complaints, formulate action plans and initiate the plans.
Assess\u00a0the service being provided and identify potential service conditions that\u00a0could result in a formal complaint.
Coordinate\u00a0service provisioning activities, including progress and schedules for new\u00a0and modified services.
Provide\u00a0detailed failure analysis reports for specific service outages as\u00a0necessary.
A willingness to\u00a0be available for critical service related problems that require immediate\u00a0escalation 24x7 is required. Qualifications: Requires\u00a0a BS degree or equivalent work experience in project management and a\u00a0minimum of 12 years of related telecommunications management experience\u00a0preferred.
Experience in telecommunications with\u00a0technical knowledge of the types of network (circuit types) Harris-FTI is\u00a0putting in place.
Experience working with Federal\u00a0Government contracts (FAA is an added plus).
Experience in Program and\/or project\u00a0management.
Previous customer service experience.
Experience managing and leading a field\u00a0force of technicians for operations, deployment as well as maintenance\/customer\u00a0service.\u00a0
Background in Telecommunications\u00a0Provisioning, Maintenance and Customer Service. Preferred Experience: Experience with an Inter-exchange Carrier such as\u00a0AT&T, Sprint, etc. and\/or experience working with a Local Exchange\u00a0Carrier such as Bell South, SBC, Verizon, etc. Please be aware that many of our positions require a security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
