Harris Corporation is seeking a self-motivated RF/Wireless electrical engineer to join our embedded systems development team to deliver mission critical solutions for a variety of customers at our Columbia, MD location. This position will focus primarily on the development of custom analog/RF circuit designs supporting custom antenna integration into embedded wireless systems. This role will include significant interaction with internal management and external customers to develop new technologies and grow the business.
Perform RF/analog circuit design in support of antenna systems.
Develop methods for modifying systems to include new capabilities.
Perform schematic capture work in support of PCB designs.
Mentor junior engineers to improve technical capabilities.
Assist in providing direction for future product development efforts.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field, and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
6 years of experience with RF circuit design for UHF circuits including RF switches, filter, diplexers, and low noise amplifiers.
Experience with lab test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators.
Experience with wireless communications systems such as satellite communications, cellular communications, RF beacons, and GPS.
Must be able to obtain and hold a Secret Security Cearance and meet stringent customer driven security screening requirements
Active secret clearance
Experience with antenna matching networks using ADS.
Experience with analog and power supply design.
