The Network Analyst I is responsible for the installation, testing, and routine maintenance of computer hardware and software; assisting clients in identifying hardware and software problems; troubleshooting network problems; and providing basic user support and informal PC training. Typical duties include: \u2022Determining causes and remedying malfunctions in hardware and software, including maintaining and troubleshooting PCs and printers on a LAN\/WAN; \u2022Receiving requests from customers on a variety of services; providing response immediately or within a specific timeframe; entering action taken to meet customer needs into a work order tracking system; \u2022Assisting with front desk coverage to include greeting and assisting customers, answering incoming calls, dispatching network analysts to job sites, and updating management on global network, server and printing problem status; \u2022Installing and configuring PCs, printers, plotters and other hardware, and installing software; \u2022Maintaining complete personal computer systems including hardware and software; \u2022Configuring and troubleshooting mobile devices (cell phones and tablets); \u2022Providing pre-installation consultation and site surveys to customers on software, hardware, and network requirements, such as number of data connections needed; and \u2022Preparing and updating documentation and reports. General Knowledge of: \u2022PC \/ laptop installation, maintenance, and repair; \u2022Software installation and problem resolution; \u2022Basic problem analysis and resolution; and \u2022Basic knowledge of network (LAN\/WAN) architecture and functionality. Following successful performance and supervisor approval, Network Analyst Is may be eligible to advance to the Network Analyst II level after one year. The salary range is $6,117 per month, increasing to $6,423, $6,744, $7,081 and $7,435 after 6, 18, 30, and 42 months, respectively. The top monthly salary step for a Network Analyst II is $9,061.
