Technical Product/Project Leader, aligning to business partners to continue rapid growth and scale of start-up organization. Leader will need hands on experience to ensure proper IT Development and business alignment. Once fully ramped up, this individual will be the technical SME for our client and the key IT stakeholder moving forward. This organization is experiencing rapid growth and needs a strong, problem-solving, independent, hard-working individual to take ownership of all technology initiatives.
What you will be doing:
Primary responsibility to ensure project goals are identified and delivered according to plan.
Responsible to ensure all aspects of the project delivery are well organized
Responsibilities include: develop and manage project schedule; oversee identification and mitigation of project risks; understand and manage project dependencies and manage project communications and reporting.
Evaluate and manage off-shore development model.
If necessary, run RFP to identify stronger development talent partner.
Identify new technologies, evaluate & provide recommendations
Oversee direction for support team & troubleshooting protocols
Manage 1-3 team members
Experience you will need:
Technical understanding on one or more of the following development languages: Java, Perl, HTML, or AWS.
Ability to look at code and sniff out issues. Work with development group to alleviate issues that arise.
Strong coordination and project management skills including: Schedule management, Time management, Risk management, Team management, Communications and Change management
Ability to work with cross functional teams to ensure requirements and product/project lifecycle toll gating is completed successfully
Experience working with an off-shore development model.
Experience with GPS SaaS businesses (telematics or fleet management solutions or aftermarket GPS hardware companies)
Experience that is nice to have:
Experience in telecom or navigation space.
Understanding of telematics and/or aftermarket GPS Tracking technology (mainly cellular-based).
Calamp, Smart Witness, Geometris, Sendum
Experience working with a start-up mentality. (ability to wear multiple hats, occasional off hours support, etc.)
Knowledge of Support ticketing systems & Troubleshooting protocols
Bachelors degree or greater
