Senior Project Manager (JP#77139) in Cary, NC
MOUNTAIN, Wireless has an opening for a Senior Project Manager for a major company working in the Cary, NC area.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Work independently with little direction on complex system performance.
Produce current year and future network forecasts.
Develop plans, organizes, and controls network deployments.
Sequence vendor schedules to ensure proper interface and deployment.
Be able to provide clear direction and objectives required to manage direct reports and various engineering functions.
Manage capital and expense budgets.
Provide a high level of project management and resolution as well as technical guidance and leadership.
Responsible for daily operation of assigned team(s) and holding them accountable for deliverables.
Develop process and procedures within team and peer groups to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of all related operations.
Track and present project status reports on implementation at regular intervals and during quarterly operations reviews or as required to both internal and external stakeholders.
The individual is expected to judge the impact in areas such as: scheduling of customer’s deployments, determining costs related to deployment projects, managing projects within cost expectations, resolving critical issues, escalating unresolved critical issues to upper management, and implementing enhancements to the deployment process.
Bachelor’s Degree or combination of college courses and experience.
3 to 6 years of Telecom (or related industry) experience.
1 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in telecom Site Acquisition or Real Estate and Construction experience is a plus.
Experience or understanding of Network Deployment Process.
Excellent customer handling skills and consulting skills.
Candidates should be able to deal with multiple customers, build good relations, manage the rollout, develop the business, control the budget, and be target oriented with good commercial awareness to monitor the P&L.
Must be able to take initiative, be accountable, and drive for results.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
