Job Description & Qualifications
Job Summary
Responsible for providing support to all business units and contract teams across the company that support the Core & Main enterprise. Provide level 3 voice communications support and perform circuit order management and provisioning for voice and data circuits support including ordering, distribution, tracking, end user support, and billing reconciliation. Validate all telecommunications billing from all carriers and perform routine audits. Partner with other teams across the enterprise and
with critical vendors.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Assists with SIP Trunking deployments; provisions SIP ports, coordinates with branch contacts and installation technicians, turns up and tests all DIDs and features. Maintains inventory records using custom built database tracking systems.
Serves as the primary point of contact for all customer expectations and carrier escalations to complete each order within standard time intervals or better.
Prepares, processes, and submits orders to vendors for new installs, moves, and disconnects of voice products; works with customers and customer vendors to collect configurations related to voice services.
Provides data for Wire Line and SIP trunking scorecards to advertise achievements. Conducts formal presentations to team management and peers to educate and showcase technology and accomplishments.
Coordinates the testing of moves and installs with vendors, customers, and field technicians; routes technicians as needed for trouble calls, system alarms, and customer service needs.
Performs quality control checks with branch contacts to ensure quality of vendor work performed and customer satisfaction.
Updates internal database systems with circuit and service detail information for all orders.
Acts as wireless support backup for enterprise wireless team.
Nature and Scope
Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related
field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience
in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of telecom order provisioning or customer service experience preferred with specific knowledge in management of the order entry, provisioning, and implementation process to include Verizon SIP trunking services; Cisco CUCM technology; ASR, LSR, LNP, 800 RespOrg, 911, LIDB CNAM, and Verizon audio conferencing.
Demonstrated experience in local access, long-haul transport, and internet services.
Experience troubleshooting IT HW/SW.
Bachelor’s degree or eight (8) years IT experience preferred.
3 years’ experience in IT Procurement for HW, SW, Telecom and Wireless.
Experiencing working closely with IT and Finance department to ensure that invoicing and payment occur on a timely and accurate basis; which includes consolidated invoicing and billing with Telecom Carriers.
Experience managing IT budget & tracking is preferred.
